About the role

BlueSky Ventures is building a unified billing‑CRM bridge to streamline revenue operations. As an Android Developer you will extend the Nimbus Sync module, enabling the mobile app to communicate securely with billing, CRM, and internal APIs. This short‑term project focuses on tight integration and real‑time data consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Kotlin‑based API clients for the billing gateway and CRM service using Retrofit and Coroutines.
• Integrate the Nimbus Sync module into the existing Android codebase, ensuring end‑to‑end encryption with TLS.
• Write unit and instrumentation tests with JUnit, Espresso, and MockWebServer to achieve 85% coverage before the 8‑week milestone.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define OpenAPI contracts and generate data models via Swagger Codegen.
• Optimize network calls and caching strategies with Room and WorkManager to meet sub‑second response times.
• Document integration patterns and hand‑off notes for the internal QA team.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience in Android development with Kotlin and Java.
• Proficiency with RESTful API consumption, Retrofit, and OkHttp.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Android architecture components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Fastlane) for Android builds.
• Ability to write automated tests using JUnit and Espresso.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Background in payment gateway integrations.
