Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient backend systems using Python and Django
• Collaborate with the frontend team to integrate backend APIs with the frontend application
• Develop and maintain REST API endpoints using Django REST framework
• Implement data models and database schema using PostgreSQL
• Write high-quality, readable, and maintainable code that adheres to industry standards and best practices
• Participate in code reviews and pair programming sessions to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, using debugging tools and techniques to identify and fix problems
• Collaborate with the QA team to develop and execute unit tests and integration tests
• Participate in agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our backend systems
• Contribute to the development of technical documentation, including API documentation and technical guides
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and operation of our backend systems

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Python backend development, with a strong focus on Django and REST API
• Strong proficiency in Python, with excellent knowledge of Python syntax, data structures, and object-oriented programming
• Experience with Django, including Django models, views, templates, and URLs
• Strong understanding of REST API principles, including API design, API security, and API documentation
• Experience with PostgreSQL, including database design, data modeling, and query optimization
• Strong understanding of software development principles, including SOLID, DRY, and YAGNI
• Experience with agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop creative solutions
• Experience with version control systems, including Git and GitHub
