Cybersecurity Analyst Needed for Vulnerability Remediation Overhaul

About the role

NexGen Media is preparing a high‑traffic mobile app store release and needs a Cybersecurity Analyst to align mobile and backend security controls. You will work closely with devops and mobile teams to embed threat modeling, secure APIs, and compliance checks into the release pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments for mobile‑backend data flows
• Design and implement security controls for API gateways and authentication services
• Perform code reviews and static analysis on backend services
• Develop incident response playbooks specific to app store launch scenarios
• Collaborate with QA to integrate security test suites into CI/CD

Must-have skills

• Strong knowledge of mobile security standards (OWASP Mobile)
• Experience securing RESTful APIs and cloud backends
• Proficiency in Python scripting for automation
• Linux system hardening and monitoring expertise

Nice to have

• Familiarity with container security (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Certifications such as CISSP or OSCP
