About the role

BlueSky Ventures is building a next‑gen IoT platform to streamline device onboarding and data pipelines. As an IoT Solutions Architect you will lead a focused CI/CD and platform automation sprint to accelerate release cycles for the new "Nimbus Edge" module.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a GitOps workflow using ArgoCD and Helm for the Nimbus Edge micro‑services.
• Automate container image builds and security scans with GitHub Actions and Trivy for edge firmware updates.
• Create Terraform modules to provision AWS IoT Core, Greengrass, and related networking resources.
• Integrate automated testing pipelines (pytest, Robot Framework) to validate device‑to‑cloud communication before each release.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers to embed versioned OTA update scripts into the CI pipeline.
• Document the end‑to‑end release process and train the devops team on sprint milestones.

Must-have skills

• Deep experience with IoT platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub) and edge computing.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins.
• Strong scripting in Python and Linux system administration.
• Infrastructure as Code expertise with Terraform and Helm.
• Understanding of networking protocols (MQTT, CoAP) and security best practices.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Kubernetes‑based edge runtimes such as K3s.
• Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana) for IoT metrics.
