About the role

BlueSky Ventures is building a data pipeline that powers analytics for operations teams. We need a REST API Developer to design, implement, and maintain services that ingest, transform, and expose operational data.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop secure, high‑performance REST APIs using NodeJS
• Integrate APIs with PostgreSQL for data storage and retrieval
• Implement data validation, error handling, and logging
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure smooth pipeline flow
• Write unit and integration tests to guarantee reliability

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building RESTful services in NodeJS
• Proficient in JavaScript (ES6+)
• Hands‑on knowledge of PostgreSQL schema design and queries
• Understanding of authentication/authorization mechanisms

Nice to have

• Familiarity with data streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for API deployment
