About the role

Pinecrest Systems is modernizing its launch pipeline by building a test‑automation uplift for its flagship analytics platform, codenamed "AstraGuard". As a Senior Data Scientist you will design predictive models and validation frameworks that automatically flag regression risks before each release, ensuring data integrity and business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a statistical regression‑risk model using Python and scikit‑learn that scores new code changes against historical failure patterns.
• Integrate the model into the CI/CD pipeline via REST API calls to trigger automated test suites in Jenkins.
• Design and maintain synthetic data generators in PostgreSQL to simulate edge‑case scenarios for model training.
• Collaborate with QA engineers to embed model outputs into test‑automation dashboards built with JavaScript and Plotly.
• Produce weekly risk‑impact reports and present findings to product owners during sprint reviews.

Must-have skills

• Advanced Python for data modeling and automation.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL query optimization and data warehousing.
• Proficiency in building and consuming REST APIs.
• Hands‑on knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g., pytest, Selenium).
• Ability to translate statistical insights into actionable engineering tasks.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Experience visualizing model metrics in JavaScript‑based dashboards.
