Senior Database Administrator Needed for Performance Tuning Upgrade

About the role

We are launching a greenfield SaaS product and need a Database Administrator to design, implement, and optimise the data layer from day one. You will work with a remote‑first team, shaping the database strategy for a high‑scale, multi‑tenant service.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and provision PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL clusters for production workloads
• Develop migration scripts and data‑seed processes for rapid feature rollout
• Implement monitoring, backup, and disaster‑recovery procedures
• Collaborate with developers to optimise queries and data models
• Establish security best practices and access controls

Must-have skills

• Strong experience administering PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL in cloud environments
• Proficiency with schema design, indexing, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code tools
• Ability to write clear documentation and SOPs

Nice to have

• Experience with containerised databases (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of data warehousing or analytics pipelines
