About the role
We are modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay live 24/7. The DevOps Engineer will design and implement zero‑downtime migration pipelines, ensuring seamless traffic cut‑over while improving reliability.
Key responsibilities
- Architect blue‑green and canary deployment strategies for zero‑downtime releases
- Containerize legacy services with Docker and orchestrate them on Kubernetes
- Build automated CI/CD workflows in AWS using CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or similar tools
- Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting to detect regressions instantly
- Collaborate with developers to refactor build scripts and improve infrastructure as code
Must-have skills
- 5+ years in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering
- Deep experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services
- Proven track record designing zero‑downtime deployment pipelines
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or PowerShell)
Nice to have
- Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio)
- Familiarity with chaos engineering practices
