About the role

Summit Digital is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay online at all times. We need a Docker Kubernetes Specialist to design and implement a zero‑downtime migration strategy while enhancing scalability and resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Architect containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes for seamless rollout
• Implement blue‑green and canary deployment patterns to guarantee zero downtime
• Automate cluster provisioning, scaling, and monitoring with IaC tools
• Collaborate with developers to refactor services for cloud‑native operation
• Document processes and create runbooks for ongoing operations

Must-have skills

• Deep experience with Docker image creation and registry management
• Advanced Kubernetes administration (helm, operators, networking)
• Proven track record of zero‑downtime migrations in production
• Strong DevOps mindset and scripting proficiency (bash, Python)

Nice to have

• Experience with GitOps workflows
• Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of service mesh technologies
