Senior GraphQL API Developer – Secure API Design

About the role

Ridgeline Software is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a GraphQL API Developer to reinforce authentication, authorization, and data validation layers while keeping performance optimal.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement secure GraphQL schemas and resolvers
• Integrate role‑based access controls and token validation
• Audit existing endpoints for injection and exposure risks
• Collaborate with DevOps to enforce TLS and secret management
• Write automated tests for security edge cases

Must-have skills

• 5+ years building production GraphQL services
• Strong knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, and OWASP guidelines
• Proficiency in NodeJS and React for client‑side query handling
• Experience securing REST APIs and migrating them to GraphQL

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) security tools
• Experience with automated security scanning (Snyk, SonarQube)
• Background in CI/CD pipeline hardening
