About the role

Cascade Apps is building a data pipeline and analytics enablement platform for operations teams. We need a Java Developer to design, implement, and optimize backend services that ingest, transform, and expose operational data.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑throughput Java microservices using Spring Boot
• Design and maintain data ingestion pipelines feeding real‑time analytics
• Implement robust APIs for downstream reporting tools
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure schema consistency and performance
• Write unit and integration tests, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines

Must-have skills

• Strong Java expertise with Spring Boot
• Experience building microservice architectures
• Understanding of data streaming concepts (Kafka, Flink, etc.)
• Proficiency in RESTful API design

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Exposure to analytics tools such as Tableau or Looker
