About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is modernizing its release pipeline by uplifting test automation across microservice layers. We need a Microservices Architect to design a resilient, automated testing framework that reduces regression risk before launch.

Key responsibilities

• Define a microservice‑centric test strategy aligned with CI/CD workflows
• Architect container‑based test environments using Docker and Kubernetes
• Integrate automated functional, contract, and performance tests into pipelines
• Guide the team on best practices for test data management and mock services
• Document architecture decisions and provide knowledge transfer sessions

Must-have skills

• Deep experience designing microservice architectures
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Java ecosystems
• Hands‑on expertise in test automation frameworks (e.g., JUnit, RestAssured, Cucumber)
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions

Nice to have

• Experience with contract testing tools like Pact
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of observability stacks for test metrics
