About the role

Vertex Analytics is upgrading its test automation framework to cut regression risk before each product launch. As a Microservices Architect you will design a scalable, container‑native architecture that powers automated test suites across multiple services.

Key responsibilities

• Define microservice boundaries for test orchestration and result aggregation
• Design and implement Docker‑based pipelines on Kubernetes clusters
• Create API contracts and event‑driven communication patterns for test data exchange
• Collaborate with QA leads to embed automated checks into CI/CD
• Document architectural decisions and provide guidance for developers

Must-have skills

• Deep experience designing microservice ecosystems
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Java
• Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and CI/CD tools
• Ability to translate business risk into technical safeguards

Nice to have

• Familiarity with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio)
• Experience in performance testing at scale
• Knowledge of cloud‑native monitoring and logging solutions
