About the role

NovaForge Tech is scaling its microservices platform and needs an architect to lead a test automation uplift. The focus is to design a robust automation framework that reduces regression risk before each product launch, ensuring confidence in rapid releases.

Key responsibilities

• Define the overall microservices testing strategy and automation roadmap
• Design and implement reusable test harnesses for API contracts and integration flows
• Integrate automated suites into CI pipelines and monitor flakiness
• Collaborate with development squads to embed testability into service design
• Mentor engineers on best practices for container‑based testing environments

Must-have skills

• Deep experience architecting microservices solutions
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes for test environments
• Strong Java development background
• Hands‑on expertise in building scalable test automation frameworks

Nice to have

• Familiarity with contract testing tools (e.g., Pact)
• Experience with performance testing of distributed systems
• Knowledge of cloud native observability platforms
