Senior Microservices Architect Needed for API Gateway Setup Overhaul

About the role

We are enhancing a mature B2B SaaS platform with a new multi‑tenant feature set. As a Microservices Architect you will design, prototype, and guide the implementation of scalable services that isolate tenant data while sharing core functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Define microservice boundaries, communication contracts, and deployment patterns for multi‑tenant delivery
• Create reference architectures using Docker and Kubernetes for automated scaling and isolation
• Collaborate with product owners and engineering leads to translate business requirements into technical specs
• Establish CI/CD pipelines and monitoring standards for reliability and security
• Mentor development teams on best practices for Java‑based microservices

Must-have skills

• Extensive experience designing and delivering Java microservices at scale
• Deep knowledge of Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration
• Proven track record with multi‑tenant SaaS architectures
• Strong understanding of API design, security, and performance tuning

Nice to have

• Familiarity with event‑driven architectures and messaging systems
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of Terraform or other IaC tools
