Senior MongoDB Specialist – End-to-End Data Modeling

About the role

We are launching a security hardening initiative for our cloud‑hosted applications. The MongoDB Specialist will design and implement robust security controls, ensuring data at rest and in transit is protected against evolving threats.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing MongoDB deployments and identify security gaps
• Configure encryption, authentication, and role‑based access controls
• Integrate MongoDB with cloud IAM and secret‑management services
• Develop scripts to enforce compliance and automate remediation
• Document security policies and provide knowledge transfer to the ops team

Must-have skills

• Deep experience securing MongoDB clusters in AWS, Azure or GCP
• Strong knowledge of TLS, SCRAM, LDAP and RBAC
• Proficiency with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
• Ability to write clear, concise technical documentation

Nice to have

• Certifications such as MongoDB DBA or Cloud Security
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for database changes
