About the role
We are modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay live 24/7. As a MongoDB Specialist you will design and implement zero‑downtime migration strategies, optimize data models, and ensure seamless performance under load.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and execute live data migrations with no service interruption
- Refactor existing schemas to support sharding and high availability
- Implement automated backup, restore, and monitoring pipelines
- Collaborate with DevOps to integrate MongoDB into CI/CD workflows
- Tune queries and indexes for sub‑second response times
Must-have skills
- Deep expertise with MongoDB architecture and performance tuning
- Strong command of JavaScript, NodeJS, and related tooling
- Experience building resilient data pipelines in production
- Proven track record of zero‑downtime migrations
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes orchestration
- Knowledge of Cloud‑native MongoDB services (e.g., Atlas)
- Background in legacy system modernization projects
