About the role

NexGen Media is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a MongoDB Specialist to audit, secure, and optimize our database layer while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive security assessments of MongoDB clusters in AWS/GCP.
• Implement encryption at rest, field‑level encryption, and role‑based access controls.
• Configure audit logging, intrusion detection, and automated backup verification.
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate security policies into CI/CD pipelines.
• Document hardening procedures and provide knowledge transfer.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing MongoDB in production cloud environments.
• Deep knowledge of MongoDB security features and best practices.
• Experience with IAM, VPC networking, and TLS configurations.
• Proficiency in scripting (JavaScript/NodeJS) for automation.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as MongoDB DBA or Cloud Security.
• Familiarity with container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with compliance frameworks (PCI‑DSS, GDPR).
