About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is launching a performance and reliability overhaul of its customer‑facing services. We need a MongoDB Specialist to design, tune, and safeguard our data layer while supporting rapid feature delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze current MongoDB clusters and identify bottlenecks affecting latency.
• Implement sharding, indexing, and aggregation strategies to boost query speed.
• Set up automated backups, point‑in‑time recovery, and monitoring alerts.
• Collaborate with frontend and backend teams to ensure data contracts are robust.
• Document performance benchmarks and provide guidance for future scaling.

Must-have skills

• Deep experience with MongoDB architecture, replication, and sharding.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/NodeJS for schema design and data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
• Ability to write clear technical documentation and share knowledge.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus or Datadog.
• Background in CI/CD pipelines for database migrations.
