About the role

BlueSky Ventures is launching a new product and needs a MongoDB Specialist to lead a test automation uplift. The focus is on reducing regression risk before launch by strengthening data‑driven test suites and improving CI pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement automated tests that validate MongoDB data integrity across releases
• Integrate MongoDB validation steps into existing CI/CD workflows
• Collaborate with developers to create mock data generators and seed scripts
• Identify flaky tests and propose stability improvements
• Document test patterns and share best practices with the QA team

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with MongoDB schema design and query optimization
• Proficiency in JavaScript‑based test frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha)
• Hands‑on knowledge of CI tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
• Ability to write clear, maintainable test code and debug data‑related failures

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) for test environments
• Experience with performance testing of database workloads
• Background in Agile teams and test‑driven development
