About the role
NovaForge Tech is preparing a mobile‑backend alignment for a major app store launch. We need a PostgreSQL Administrator to fine‑tune our data layer, ensure high‑availability, and support rapid feature roll‑outs.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL clusters for low‑latency mobile queries
- Automate backups, replication, and failover processes
- Collaborate with mobile engineers to optimize schema for offline sync
- Monitor performance metrics and resolve bottlenecks quickly
- Write migration scripts and document database changes
Must-have skills
- 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production environments
- Strong SQL tuning, indexing, and query optimization expertise
- Experience with Linux, Bash scripting, and CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency in data modeling for mobile applications
Nice to have
- Knowledge of MongoDB and MySQL for hybrid data solutions
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and managed DB services
- Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus or pgBadger
