About the role
DataPro Services is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay live 24/7. We need a REST API Developer to design and implement new services while ensuring zero‑downtime migration. This short‑term project will lay the foundation for future scalability and performance improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and document high‑throughput REST APIs using NodeJS
- Integrate with existing PostgreSQL schemas and migrate data safely
- Implement automated tests and CI pipelines to guarantee zero‑downtime releases
- Collaborate with DevOps to orchestrate blue‑green deployments
- Monitor API health and resolve production issues quickly
Must-have skills
- Proven experience building RESTful services with NodeJS
- Strong JavaScript fundamentals and async programming
- Hands‑on PostgreSQL knowledge, including query optimization
- Understanding of zero‑downtime deployment patterns
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes
- Experience in legacy system refactoring
