Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage and maintain financial records, accounts, and ledgers, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure effective financial management and minimize risk.
• Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning to support business growth and decision-making.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and to respond to audit findings and recommendations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective financial management and minimize risk.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements, accounting principles, and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices.
• Provide training and support to staff on financial procedures, policies, and systems to ensure effective financial management and minimize risk.
• Develop and implement financial models, forecasts, and scenarios to support business planning and decision-making.
• Manage and coordinate financial projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and to ensure effective financial management.
• Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and other tools to support financial analysis and decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, risk management, and audit requirements to minimize risk and ensure effective financial management.
• Provide financial guidance and support to management and staff to ensure effective financial management and minimize risk.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting and financial management.
• Professional certification in accounting, such as CPA or CMA, is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry trends.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero, and Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting is an asset.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with ability to motivate and guide staff.
